TheJohn Byrne run from 1989 was a fourth-wall breaking comedy that had She-Hulk face weird, mostly lame villains. The Dan Slott run from 2004 focused on She-Hulk as a lawyer, at a firm that dealt with the weird law cases that happen in the Marvel Universe. It was silly, but not fourth-wall breaking.
PeterDavid is the definitive run. Early to first half of Bruce Jones’ run is good. Greg Pak’s Planet Hulk is good. A lot of people will hate on it, but I think Jeph Loeb’s Hulk run was a lot of fun. Al Ewing’s current Hulk run is good. LordCaedus13. • 5 yr. ago. Greg Pak's Hulk is my favorite comic ever.
Thereis no denying that John Byrne revolutionized She-Hulk, but Dan Slott arguably perfected the character with his two runs from 2004 and 2005. These two comic series did what John Byrne did and revamped the character to new heights while respecting the past.

Todays post has been cross-posted over at The Hooded Utilitarian (special thanks to Noah Berlatsky). Marvel Comics’ She-Hulk is perhaps the most high-profile of their many female characters that are derivative of successful pre-existing male characters.. However, three decades since she first appeared in Savage She-Hulk #1, writers

TheSensational She-Hulk by John Byrne is the definitive and best run of She-Hulk. The next best is the She-Hulk run by Dan Slott. Also, if you like those, check her out in FF vol. 2 by Fraction and Allred, and when she stepped in for The Thing in the main Fantastic Four book. Those are her best appearances by a wide margin.
Ifeel that it was a lot more dynamic then the one that was used (the one that depicted She-Hulk being swallowed by the black dome). JB: A lot of things happened in my last days on the FF. You may recall, this was when I was gearing up to being my run on Superman, and, being perhaps a bit Pollyanna in my younger days, actually thought I would be able to

SensationalShe-Hulk (1989). If you like Deadpool, but think the franchise could stand to tone down the violence, this is the run for you. It’s primarily associated with John Byrne, who wrote and drew issues #1–8, 31–46, and 48–50 of 60 total, and who didn’t just break but completely pulverized the fourth wall in the process.
JohnByrne would later take the helm of "Sensational She-Hulk" in 1989, and Charles Soule wrote the 2018 "She-Hulk" series which sees her form her own law practice. Advertisement The She-Hulk
